Parliament resolution on border in Batken region has over 30 items

Following consideration of the incident on Kyrgyzstan — Tajikistan border on March 13-14, 2019, more than 30 items were included in the decree of the Parliament. Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security, Iskhak Pirmatov, told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, the discussion lasted many hours. After it the deputies made additions to the resolution. Now the Parliament is processing the document. It will be published later.

«We instructed the government to transform 52 hectares of Ak-Sai rural administration as soon as possible so that people could build and cultivate land there. In addition, Ak-Sai village should be granted a special status. People with experience, who representatives of Tajikistan would consider, should be appointed as plenipotentiary representative of the Cabinet in the region, heads of districts, heads of rural administrations,» Iskhak Pirmatov stressed.

The resolution includes issue on speedy resolution of social problems of border areas, immediate completion of construction of Ak-Sai — Tamdyk, Ak-Sai — Ravat, Kok-Tash — Ak-Sai roads, the redeployment of military units of the General Staff from Bishkek suburbs to Batken region, increase in material provision of the border guards.
