Citizens of Tajikistan wanted to build up a house adjoining site in Maksat village of Leylek district on undemarcated part of the border in Batken region. District administration informed 24.kg news agency.
It is specified that the construction was stopped, since according to the agreement, construction on an undemarcated part of the border was prohibited.
«Earlier, Tajikistan stopped a similar construction on our side. They also referred to the prohibition of capital construction. After negotiations, the construction was stopped. The situation at the border is stable,» the administration said.
Recall, a conflict occurred in Batken region on Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan border due to construction of Ak-Sai-Tamdyk road on March 13-14. Residents of border villages threw stones at each other. The border guards of both countries used weapons to disperse the people.
