One more conflict flares up on Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan border

«There are clashes in Maksat border village again,» deputy Taabyldy Tillaev told at a meeting of the Parliament today.

According to him, the conflict flared up in Leylek district because of digging under a gas pipe of 120 kilometers long. This pipe costs a lot of money. And an attempt to dig it up can lead to new problems in the border areas.

«This is a big pipe. It costs billions of soms. Let’s give the task to law enforcement agencies to sort it out. Yesterday, they began to dig under this pipe, the capital construction of six houses began there. People are in panic. Conflicts begin again,» the deputy told.
