President controls opening of Moscow State University’s branch in Bishkek

President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov personally controls the issue of opening a branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University in Bishkek. Daniyar Sydykov, head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, told today at a press conference.

Earlier, the rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the president of the Russian Union of Rectors, Viktor Sadovnichy, said that the Moscow State University branch was not opened in Bishkek not through Moscow’s fault. He agreed six times, but no steps were taken by Kyrgyzstan.

The Ministry of Education and Science stated that the issue of opening a branch of the Moscow State University was not raised at the intergovernmental level.

According to Daniyar Sydykov, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic took the opening of a branch of the university in the capital under his personal control.
