A channel for transportation of foreign citizens through the territory of Kyrgyzstan was suppressed in the course of active search measures. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to the committee, the fact of abuse of power by individual servicemen of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic and the police was also revealed.
«It was found out that in March 2019, a soldier of Manas-Airport checkpoint illegally registered passports of six Iranian citizens in the database of the Unified System for External Migration as arrived in Kyrgyzstan by an international flight Almaty — Bishkek and fictitiously stamped their passports with marks of entry into the republic (without the actual presence of foreigners) for a cash reward of $ 900,» SCNS notes.
Based on the collected materials of SCNS, the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic registered this fact in the Unified Register of Crimes and Misdemeanors on March 27 of this year on grounds of crimes under articles «Abuse of official position», «Official forgery» and «Bribetaking» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The investigation is underway.
