The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan forecasts inflation at the level of 5 percent by the end of 2019. Website of the bank says.
An average annual inflation rate is expected to be not higher than 3 percent. However, as of March 15, 2019, the general price level in annual terms decreased by 0.4 percent. Growth in prices for services and non-food products is slowing down, while prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products show moderate growth rates.
Last week, the International Monetary Fund also forecast price increase in Kyrgyzstan. The IMF believes that inflation will not exceed 2.2 percent in 2019.
