The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund is still afraid to finance projects through non-standard banking instruments. Chairman of the Board of the RKFR, Erkin Asrandiev, announced today at the 8th Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference.
According to him, banking methods of financing have so far prevailed in the fund’s activities. «There was, of course, project financing, but in small amounts. But there are objective reasons for this,» Erkin Asrandiev said.
«RKFR is the first unique experience and a kind of startup for Kyrgyzstan. It also evolves and develops. The market of the republic itself is not sufficiently developed in terms of using non-standard banking instruments. Perhaps we should become a catalyst. We have such plans for 2019. However, these are small projects. I must say honestly that we are afraid, so we are analyzing risks,» he told.
