Official status of the Russian language will be preserved in Kyrgyzstan. The President of the country Sooronbai Jeenbekov stated at the first forum of rectors of higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic and Russia «Development of Science and Education — Investment in the Future.»
I want to stress once again that the Russian language has and will always have the status of an official language in Kyrgyzstan.

The head of state offered the Russian scientific intelligentsia to cooperate in such areas as alternative energy and hydropower, water and mountain research, highland medicine, phytochemical studies of medicinal flora, or in production of bio seeds and food products.
«The potential of the Kyrgyz Republic should also be taken into account in the development of the research base of health and rehabilitation tourism. The capabilities of our country allow us to develop the educational and research direction of the mining sector,» said Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
He noted that the development of human capital would be the competitive advantage of the two states.
Representatives of 70 Russian universities participate in the forum.
