Russia to be offered to build small hydropower plants in Kyrgyzstan

Daniyar Imanaliev, head of the Policy of Strategic Development, Economy and Finance Department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, told a press conference today what areas of cooperation would be discussed during the state visit of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to Kyrgyzstan.

According to him, the 8th Interregional Conference will be held within the visit. «Russia is the main trade and economic partner of Kyrgyzstan. The trade turnover for the year increased by 4 percent. Direct investment in 2018 made up $ 123 million. These figures have grown by 25 percent over the year,» Daniyar Imanaliev said.

He added that it was planned to discuss industrial cooperation, mutual deliveries of products, creation of joint industrial enterprises, construction of small hydropower plants during round table discussions. «Following the discussion, agreements and export contracts for the supply of our products will be signed. Then we will announce the number and sum of contracts,» Daniyar Imanaliev said.
