Kyrgyzstani Atai Izabekov took the 3rd place at the Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championship.
The tournament among athletes under 23 years old ended in Ulaanbaatar city (Mongolia). Three representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic competed on the final day. Atai Izabekov performed in the weight category of 79 kg. He defeated athletes from Mongolia and Kazakhstan, but lost to an Indian and an Iranian.
Islambek Orozbekov (70 kg) and Kunai Nurdavletov (97 kg) took the 4th place.
Teams from 11 countries participated in the championship. Kyrgyzstan won 12 medals. Greco-Roman style wrestlers won four gold, two silver and two bronze medals, freestyle wrestlers — one medal of each dignity, girls — silver medal.
