Kyrgyzstan takes important place in Russia's foreign policy

«Kyrgyzstan takes an important place in the foreign and foreign economic policy of the Russian Federation,» press service of Roscongress Foundation cited an Adviser to the President of Russia Anton Kobyakov as saying.

The 8th Interregional Conference «New Horizons for Strategic Partnership and Integration» will be held during the state visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to Bishkek. Its main topics will be trade, economic and industrial cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.

«Kyrgyzstan is our long-standing partner, including within the import-export line. We see stable growth in many respects. I am convinced that meetings in the format of an interregional conference will allow maintaining dialogue and our partnership at the same high level,» Anton Kobyakov said.

The main event of the conference will be a meeting with the participation of the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Oreshkin and the Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov.

«Following the meeting, bilateral agreements and memorandums on cooperation and economic integration between Russia and Kyrgyzstan will be signed. It is expected that the event will be attended by 800 people. High-ranking officials of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, representatives of business circles, public figures, and experts are among them,» Roscongress stressed.
