Trial of the criminal case on sale of children continues in the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.
During the trial, a mediator in the sale of a child was questioned.
She told that in 2018 an unfamiliar woman offered her to buy a baby for her childless relative.
«I work as a seller in Orto-Sai market. In 2018, I told a woman working in the market that my relative could not get pregnant for several years and was ready to adopt a child. A few days later, the woman (defendant) called me and recalled about the conversation about adoption. She offered to buy a newborn boy for $3,000. The relative agreed,» the witness said.
She added that the infant was brought to one of the microdistricts of the city. The seller got the money in a few days.
Recall, the police detained doctors suspected of sale of children in Bishkek. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there are three facts of sale of babies. Doctors not only sold children, but also helped new parents to draw up birth certificates.
