Delegation from Kyrgyzstan, consisting of representatives of the State Migration Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a counselor of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Russia, arrived in Yakutsk today.
According to the diplomatic mission, meetings with officials of the administration of the head of the Sakha Republic and the government, the Ministry of Foreign Relations and Affairs of the Peoples of Yakutia, the head of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Sakha Republic and the imam of the Yakutsk Cathedral Mosque were held.
The parties exchanged information on the current situation and discussed issues to settle the conflict.
The delegation of Kyrgyzstan expressed its gratitude for the restrained position, as well as regret about the happened.
The sides also noted the need to elect a specific leader of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Yakutsk who local authorities could work with.
Representatives of the clergy urged labor migrants not to succumb to provocations, to comply with the laws of the Russian Federation, and to respect the traditions and customs of the host country.
According to the Investigative Committee of Yakutsk, three unknown persons forced a woman to get into a car on Sunday morning. According to investigators, a 23-year-old suspect drove to a garage, where he abused the victim. One of the suspects was detained.
