A deputy of a local council was killed in a scuffle in Tokmak city. Press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department for Chui region reported.
Yesterday, on March 17, the police received a message about body of a man at the age of 20-25 of Asian appearance found with a knife wound.
«The man was identified. It was 29-year-old self-nominated candidate of one of the parties in Chui district. On the same day, at about 3.00, a message about hospitalization of a 30-year-old man with a stab wound was received,» the police reported.
A 24-year-old local resident was detained and placed in a pretrial detention center on suspicion of committing the crime. According to preliminary version, a scuffle broke out between several young people on one of the streets in Tokmak. As a result, one of them died, and the second was hospitalized with stab wounds, the police reported.
