Mass vaccination of migrants against measles to begin in Russia on April 1

Campaign on clean-up immunization of the population, as well as vaccination of labor migrants against measles will start in Russia on April 1, 2019. The decree of the Chief Sanitary Officer of the Russian Federation has been published on the portal of legal information of Russia.

The document states that immunization will be carried out until October 1 of this year. At the same time, employers, who hire foreigners, must, before December 31, 2019, ensure measles immunization of those, who have not suffered from this ailment and were not vaccinated against it or have no information about vaccination.

Recall, more than 900 measles cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of the year. Clean-up immunization is also carried out in the country.
