Kyrgyzstanis showed good results at the 1st Asian Taekwondo ITF Cup. Taekwondo Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, headed by Oleg Lim, informed 24.kg news agency.
The tournament was held on March 7-8 in Almaty with participation of 500 athletes from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia. Kyrgyzstan was represented by 40 sportsmen from Bishkek, Balykchy, Tokmak and Shopokov.
Kyrgyzstanis won 9 gold, 13 silver and 20 bronze medals. Igor Yakushev, Nurali Nazarbaev, Polina Gorkovaya (twice), Milana Kudaiberdieva, Daniyar Kurmanbaev, Janyl Sultankulova, Olga Khegai and Adina Romova became champions in various categories.
