Number of patients receiving hemodialysis increases in Kyrgyzstan

Number of patients receiving hemodialysis has increased in Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Health reported.

As of January 1, at least 1,318 people received hemodialysis services. A month later, the number of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment increased to 1,336. About 572 of them receive services free of charge at the expense of the state budget.

These services provided by private medical institutions cost the budget 5,500 soms for each procedure. At least 764 patients receive procedures under the Single Payer system through the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund. The CMIF pays 4,700 soms from its funds and patients pay other 550 soms as a co-payment.
