Employees of Chelyabinsk customs prevented import of a large number of counterfeit perfumes, as well as swords, knives and sabers into Yekaterinburg. Russian media reported.
According to the press service of the Ural Customs Administration, in the vehicle that followed from Kyrgyzstan, employees found more than 2,500 bottles of eau de toilette with stickers of Gucci, Lacoste, Hugo Boss, Chanel, Dior and Paco Rabanne brands. In addition, 2,000 swords, knives and sabers were found in the vehicle.
According to an examination, more than 1,500 knives, swords and sabers are cold weapons.
Smugglers face up to two years in prison.
Damage to trademark holders was estimated at 4 million rubles. All the counterfeit products were handed over to the police. Issue of opening of a criminal case under article «Illegal use of someone else’s trademark» of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is being resolved.
