Karatekas from Kyrgyzstan win 5 medals in Kazakhstan

Kyrgyzstanis won five medals at Aktobe Open International Tournament in Karate-Do. Executive Director of the Karate Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic Dmitry Kazanov told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, the tournament was held in Aktobe with participation of 300 athletes from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Kyrgyzstan was represented by 13 people. They won three silver and two bronze awards. Nazim Nurlanov, Emir Abdygulov and Dilnaz Sootbayeva took the second places in their categories. Adylbek uulu Nurbolot and Amina Nakypbekova won bronze medals.

«In parallel, Austrian Salzburg hosted rating tournament of A series. Kyrgyzstanis did not win medals there but won seven fights. They received certain points for each victory. As of today, our two karatekas are in the top 100 of the world rankings, which makes it possible to participate in the qualifying tournament for Olympic 2020,» Dmitry Kazanov told.
