Criminal cases on attacks on journalists do not reach courts. Representatives of Media Policy Institute stated.
According to them, only one incident reached court for five years. Journalists mostly withdraw claims and solicit a truce with the offenders. It is not uncommon for the police to stop investigation, since it is impossible to find perpetrators.
Recently, there have been three attacks on journalists of Sputnik Kyrgyzstan, Factcheck and Cactus Media. Journalists often suffer during collection of information.
