Control over the actual volume of completed road construction work has been completely lost in Kyrgyzstan. Deputy Marat Amankulov said at the meeting of the parliamentary committee on transport, communications, architecture and construction.
According to him, construction of a tunnel on an alternative North-South road is behind schedule.
A representative of the Ministry of Transport replied that the length of the tunnel was 3,815 meters. Construction of 2,100 meters has been already completed.
The ministry’s representative noted that the slow pace of construction is associated with complex soil — the soil turned out to be softer than expected.
