Criminal case on modernization of the Bishkek’s Heating and Power Plant, where the defendants are the former prime ministers Zhantoro Satybaldiev and Sapar Isakov, the deputy of the Parliament Osmonbek Artykbaev, was sent to court. The Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan informed 24.kg news agency.
The materials came to the Sverdlovsky District Court. Date of the first hearing is still unknown. The lawyers of the defendants claim that their clients are innocent, and the damage in the amount of 111 million soms is a figure pulled out of thin air.
Four criminal cases were opened and seven former top managers of the power industry were arrested within the criminal case on modernization and breakdown of Bishkek’s HPP, including the former head of the National Energy Holding Aibek Kaliev and the former General Director of Electric Stations Salaydin Avazov. They all are charged with corruption.
