Safe City project launched in Kyrgyzstan

Safe City project, within which cameras began to record violations on the roads, was launched in Kyrgyzstan.

In case of violation of traffic rules, car owners will receive notifications of fines.

In addition, drivers will be able to independently check the fact of imposing a fine on the website egov.kg.

So far, cameras have been installed at ten intersections of Bishkek:

Zhibek Zholu — Molodaya Gvardiya Boulevard,

Zhibek Zholu — Fuchik Street,

Chui Avenue — Fuchik Street,

Chui Avenue — Beishenaliev Street,

Chui Avenue — Molodaya Gvardiya Boulevard,

Bokonbaev — Abdrakhmanov Streets,

Zhibek Zholu — Abdrakhmanov Street,

Chui Avenue — Kurmanjan Datka Street,

Moskovskaya — Abdrakhmanov Streets,

Gorky — 7 April Streets.

In addition, 17 stationary posts and 20 mobile hardware-software complexes have been installed.

The cameras record seven types of traffic violations — red light running, entering an oncoming lane, driving on the side of the road, pavement or cycle path, lawns, footpaths, crossing the stop line, driver’s non-compliance with pedestrian crossings, exceeding set speed limit, driver’s non-compliance with stop and parking requirements.
