Each Kyrgyzstani forced to work 1.5 times more than needed

Each working person in Kyrgyzstan should provide 1.5 times more goods and services than it would be necessary for him or her. This information is provided by Countrymeters online service based on data from the UN Statistics Division.

Calculations are made on the basis of a coefficient of the demographic load, which shows the ratio of the working and non-productive population.

The first group of people includes citizens aged from 15 to 64, the second — up to 15 and over 64 years old.

This ratio makes up 52.8 percent in Kyrgyzstan.

This figure shows that there are 528 non-productive people per 1,000 working-age people in the country, 447 people of whom are under 15 years old, 81 — older than 64.

This ratio shows a high social burden on the working population.

The ratio of the demographic load directly reflects the financial costs of social policy in the state. For example, in case of ratio growth, the expenses for construction of educational institutions, social protection, health care, and payment of pensions should be increased.
