Some fields in Kyrgyzstan are not developed, despite the fact that licenses were sold 20 years ago. The Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Idris Kadyrkulov announced at a meeting of the Security Council the day before.
According to him, many licenses were bought for resale and as an asset of private companies.
«A government decree dated November 6, 2016 allows to extend the term of ownership of a license, paying a certain amount to the budget. For 2017-2018, at least 444 companies have changed their founders. This can be regarded as a resale of licenses, but the budget did not receive a penny. By law, if a local company changes its founder, then payments are foreseen. This does not apply to companies with foreign capital,» Idris Kadyrkulov told.
In recent years, there have been conflicts at almost all fields. Today, there are 10 small and 15 major stress points in the mining industry.

Speaking about corruption in the industry, Idris Kadyrkulov told that check of participation of some officials in the activities of private companies was conducted.
«There is information about the participation of officials in the work of mining companies. The facts are being investigated. In 2012-2018, based on the materials, the Corruption Control Service opened 74 cases, the damage on them amounted to 949.5 million soms,» Idris Kadyrkulov told.
