Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan almost doubles in 2018

According to the results of 2018, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan increased by 89.6 percent. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Komil Rashidov announced this today at a briefing.

According to him, the countries have traded for $ 481 million last year. Export of Uzbek goods to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $348.2 million, and import — $132.8 million. Kyrgyzstan accounts for 1.4 percent of the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan and is among 20 countries that have the largest significance in the trade of Uzbekistan. Kyrgyzstan takes the 6th place in the export of goods, and in the import — the 20th place.

Our countries have great opportunities and reserves to bring bilateral trade to $ 500 million in the near future.

«Regular contacts, meetings and dialogues of the heads of state, governments, parliaments, ministries and departments, entrepreneurs have become an impetus to increase trade, encourage investment and implement joint projects.
