Deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan proposes to raise the status of the Migration Service of Kyrgyzstan. Evgeniya Strokova said at a meeting of the Committee on Social Affairs, Education, Science, Culture and Healthcare of Kyrgyzstan.
She believes that it is necessary to raise its level at least to an agency. «Their low status inside the country makes it difficult to work in the international arena, because similar services have a higher status in other countries,» the deputy said.
Evgeniya Strokova proposed to increase the number of employees of the migration service. «I raised this issue many times. They have only 48 people, including technical staff, and only one representative in the regions, although the main migration problem is there,» she noted.
