Deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Zhanar Akayev offers to broadcast special videos for migrants on TV. He stated this at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on social issues, education, science, culture and health care.
He noted that migrants who leave the country to earn money often find themselves in slave conditions, and their compatriots often deceive them.
«The Ministry of Internal Affairs used to work well in this direction, directly addressed the authorities of other countries, found cases via the Internet. There were cases when they were deceived in Russia, Turkey,» the deputy told.
Zhanar Akayev noted that people mostly get into labor and sexual slavery. He proposed to broadcast special programs and videos covering the life of migrant workers on TV channels.
«In order the people, when they go abroad, to know what documents they need to have, where to apply for permits, who to contact in case of problems,» he said.
«We do a lot not to deal with the consequences, but to prevent. Ads in the markets, at bus stations often tell about search for workers in Turkey and other countries. We check legality of the work.
