$ 55 million to be spent on construction of Tyup- Kegen road in Kyrgyzstan

About $ 55 million will be spent on construction of Tyup- Kegen road in Kyrgyzstan. Renata Esembaeva, Acting Director of the World Bank Investment Projects Implementation Group told at a session of Onuguu- Progress faction.

According to her, 50 percent of the amount is a grant, the second half is a loan.

«There is a project for the construction of Batken-Isfana-Khujand road, together with JICA we are planning to build Tyup-Kegen road, as well as the roads to Karakol tourist base. The project of Osh-Batken-Isfana road is at the stage of detailed planning,» Renata Esembaeva told.

The leader of the faction, Bakyt Torobaev, said that, in addition to building the road, it was also needed to develop a system of services that could be provided. In particular, the deputy was concerned about the lack of toilets on the highways of Kyrgyzstan.
