Government of Kyrgyzstan plans to purchase 2 aircraft for domestic flights

The government of Kyrgyzstan will buy two aircraft for domestic flights. The First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov announced at a meeting of the Committee of the Parliament on Transport, Communications, Architecture and Construction.

According to him, the model and the amount of aircraft is being specified.

«The current state of the country’s aviation is the result of 12 years of work. And now we are working intensively. We will make a decision within two months,» the official said.

The committee is discussing the situation at Air Kyrgyzstan.

As it is known, the state airline has been on the verge of bankruptcy for years. The staff was sent on leave without pay, one plane is idle in the air shed, the other was sublet. The company does not operate flights. About 75 percent of Air Kyrgyzstan’s shares are included in the privatization program.
