Deputies propose to delay the entry into force of the law on Compulsory Motor Third Party Liability Insurance in Kyrgyzstan for two years. The bill was put up for public discussion.
The initiators of the document are the deputies of the Parliament Akylbek Zhaparov, Torobai Zulpukarov, Altynbek Sulaimanov and Abdumazhit Yusurov. They propose to extend the entry into force of the law on CMTPLI until February 7, 2021.
«Since the obligation to insure civil liability provided by the law applies to all vehicle owners, the expected entry into force of the law causes an active debate in society. In particular, there is a lack of readiness of the population for additional expenses and lack of trust in insurance companies in terms of insurance compensation payments,» the deputies explained the position.
The law on CMTPLI will enter into force on February 7, 2019.
