A friend of the mother of a two-year-old child, who died in the intensive care unit of the National Center for Maternity and Childhood Welfare in December 2018, was placed in a pretrial detention center. Panfilovsky District Court chose for her a preventive measure in the form of detention. Police department of Chui region informed 24.kg news agency.
The 33-year-old woman was charged with intentional causing of bodily harm. According to the results of the examinations, the boy died as a result of beatings. The person under investigation claims that she did not beat the baby, he allegedly fell out of bed.
Recall, the mother left the child with her friend and left for work in Russia. When she was informed that the baby had entered the hospital in serious condition with numerous bruises and unconscious, she returned to Kyrgyzstan. But she did not write a statement to police.
This is not the first case of child abuse in Kyrgyzstan. In January 2015, a two-year-old brutally beaten Ibragim was hospitalized. The kid remained disabled.
