At least 100,000 soms were collected from the salary of a lawyer of Ata Meken party leader Omurbek Tekebayev, Taalaigul Toktakunova, in favor of Almazbek Atambayev. She told 24.kg news agency.
According to the lawyer, representatives of the ex-president of the country intend to speed up the process and get sale of the seized property. According to the court decision, Taalaigul Toktakunova owes the plaintiff 5 million soms.
Another defendant, Kanatbek Aziz, also owes 5 million soms, but he does not have property.
The Bishkek City Court is now considering an appeal against the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court on refusal to cancel the court verdicts on this claim of Atambayev.
Almazbek Atambayev asked to recognize the information voiced by the lawyers of Omurbek Tekebayev at a press conference not corresponding to reality. The court granted the claim and charged 10 million soms from the defendants. Taalaigul Toktakunova’s property and salaries were seized. Both Tekebayev lawyers were banned from leaving the country. The court hearing on the auctioning of the property of Taalaigul Toktakunova was suspended.
According to a representative of the interests of the former president Nurbek Sydykov, Almazbek Atambayev does not intend to withdraw material claims.
