Former Speaker of Parliament Akhmatbek Keldibekov did not withdraw claims against Asia News media outlet. Civil activist Adil Turdukulov told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, the former deputy no longer demands a million soms only from the editor Aslanbek Sartbaev. The media outlet should pay the money and publish a refutation to the articles that caused the outrage of the plaintiff. The court found the information in the articles unreliable.

Akhmatbek Keldibekov’s lawyer, Gulia Ryskulova, said to 24.kg news agency that the court’s decision could not be considered as executed until Asia News publishes a refutation.

Akhmatbek Keldibekov is also suing Kyrgyztoday. Material disputed in court was sent for examination. Material claims to Argument.kg have been withdrawn.

In addition, Akhmatbek Keldibekov, former Prosecutor General Azimbek Beknazarov and the head of the State Committee for National Security Keneshbek Duishebaev re-sued the former President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev and director of April TV channel Dmitry Lozhnikov. The total amount of the claim is 18 million soms.
