Kyrgyzstani Murtazali Murtazaliev competed among men with a brown belt in the weight category of 77 kilograms. He had three fights. At the start, he lost to future champion Gutierrez Barbosa (Brazil), then defeated Jean Louis Mendoza (France) and Salem Al Suwaidi (United Arab Emirates).
Murtazali Murtazaliev is a bronze medalist of the 2016 Asian Beach Games and the 2018 Summer Asian Games.
