Police detained a woman who had beaten her nephew to death in Osh city of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Internal Affairs Department for the region reported.
The two-year-old child was hospitalized to Osh Regional Hospital. During the examination, doctors found out that he died before hospitalization.
«Doctors reported about the incident to the police. It turned out that the child was raised by the family of his uncle. Investigators detained his wife on suspicion of the crime,» the police department reported.
Medical workers found numerous hematomas on the body and head of the child, an open fracture of his left hand.
«The woman told that the child had pissed his pants and she pinched him, hit his legs several times. The spouse of the detainee confirmed her testimony and explained that the child had been beaten for educational purposes,» the police department reported.
A criminal case was initiated under the article «Infliction of bodily harm that entailed death by negligence» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The department noted that the parents of the child divorced, and the children remained in care of the father. The parent left for Russia, leaving the children with his brother.
