Prime Minister signs decree on Business Ombudsman in Kyrgyzstan

The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev signed a decree on the formation of the Institute of Business Ombudsman. The Information Support Department of the Government reported.

«The Business Ombudsman will promote the transparency of the activities of state bodies and local governments in order to prevent violations of the rights or legitimate interests of entrepreneurs,» the Government said.

The Business Ombudsman and his secretariat are not government agencies and are not accountable to them. They will be financed at the expense of international development partners.

Any citizen (including foreign) can take the post. «The Business Ombudsman is elected for five years. The same person cannot hold the post for more than two terms in a row,» the Government noted.
