The first cameras within Safe City project have been installed in Kyrgyzstan. The State Committee of Information Technologies and Communications informed 24.kg news agency.
Today, a complex of photo and video recording «Autopatrol» is deployed as a part of the measurement and survey cameras at the intersection of Abdrakhmanov and Bokonbayev Streets in Bishkek.
The mobile complex records the speeding and entry into the oncoming lane. According to the government contract, the MC is working from 8.00. This technical complex will not work at night in order to avoid situations when drivers may, seeing the MC, get scared, slow down sharply, create emergency situations.
Measuring cameras record violations and determine the state number plate of a vehicle. They work in test mode.
At present, two post are working in test mode — in Lebedinovka village and at the gas filling station Gazprom on the 10th kilometer of Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart highway.
Earlier it was reported that the test operation of the complexes will begin from January 25 of the next year, and by February 10 the project will be launched in an industrial format.
The State Committee of Information Technologies and Communications has signed an agreement with Vega Radio Engineering Corporation for the implementation of the first phase of Safe City project. The company won the tender.
