Kazakhstan tells about start of gasoline supplies to Kyrgyzstan

The Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, Kanat Bozumbaev, told about possible start of the export of gasoline to Kyrgyzstan. Bnews.kz reported.

In January 2019, the parties intend to sign a mutual export agreement. «Last week, we received a response from Kyrgyzstan, held talks and sent out an agreed version to the state agencies. We hope that if we do everything before the new year, we will sign the corresponding agreement in the first half of January. As soon as we sign it, this means that we will have the opportunity to export gasoline in February,» said Kanat Bozumbaev.

He noted that Kazakhstan did not plan to export diesel fuel. To do this, it is necessary to strengthen the boundaries and calculate the actual fuel consumption.

«We are not going to export diesel fuel, because first we have to strengthen the border on diesel fuel, close the shadow transition, understand the amount of real consumption in Kazakhstan. We think that our capacity on production of diesel fuel is 120 percent implemented,» Kanat Bozumbaev added.

The State Committee of Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of Kyrgyzstan explained to 24.kg news agency that the issue of fuel supply from Kazakhstan had not been resolved.
