Border guards stopped attempts to smuggle 1,500 liters of fuel and lubricants from December 17 to December 24 on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border. The State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, the fuel was found during the inspection of vehicles arriving from Kazakhstan. The owners of the transport together with the cargo were handed over to the employees of the territorial divisions of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes for further investigation.
One of the high-profile cases of smuggling of fuel was recorded in early December. Employees of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes detained over 39 tons of fuel and lubricants in the territory of Chui region of Kyrgyzstan.
