MFA announces number of Kyrgyzstanis studying in Russia

Regular Kyrgyz-Russian interministerial political consultations took place in Moscow. The press service of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation reported.

The Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan Dinara Kemelova and the State Secretary of the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry Grigory Karasin discussed a mechanism for improving cooperation in the field of education.

The parties focused on the specialties that the Kyrgyz economy needed.

According to Grigory Karasin, about 15,800 citizens of Kyrgyzstan study in Russia, 7,600 of them — on a quota basis. In the 2018 academic year, the Kyrgyzstanis were allocated 350 quota places.
