Smuggled tangerines were detained on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. The State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
An attempt to smuggle tangerines worth 1.1 million soms from Tajikistan to Kyrgyzstan was prevented at Leylek border detachment.
Border guards together with officers of the State Committee for National Security detained two citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who illegally, outside the checkpoint, drove into the republic from Tajikistan not far from Zhany-Zher village of Leylek district.
At least 23 tons of tangerines were found during an inspection. The cargo owners had no accompanying documents for the goods.
