A rally is being held near the Embassy of China in Bishkek. Protesters are demanding from the PRC to stop persecution of the ethnic Kyrgyz in China and release them from re-education camps.
“We also demand from all foreigners to leave Kyrgyzstan within a month and create a commission to check the legality of granting citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic to foreign citizens over the past 10 years,” representative of Kyrk Choro Zamirbek Kochorbayev told 24.kg news agency.
Recall, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov asked the day before at a press conference to be cautious with statements about China's re-education camps, and not to excite the public by statements about the expansion of Chinese citizens.
