The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov voiced his position on the criminal case against the politician Omurbek Tekebayev today at a press conference.
According to him, the case of Omurbek Tekebayev passed all judicial instances. «I can’t break this and intervene. There is only thing, according to the law, if a petition to me is written, I can reconsider the case,» said the head of state.
Recall, Omurbek Tekebayev was hospitalized. He was transferred from penal colony 47, where he is serving a sentence on corruption charges, to the cardiology department on December 13 with severe arrhythmia. Currently, the state of the politician has stabilized, but he needs constant medical supervision.
