The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan is discussing Safe City project. Deputies are interested in the number of hardware complexes to be delivered and when the first stage of the project will be completed.
The First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov replied that there should be a total of 110 complexes.
«At the first stage, we will equip Bishkek with video recording cameras. 48 complexes will be installed in the capital, 20 — in Chui region. The rest will be portable complexes. The first 37 arrived the day before. In May, we plan to complete, or rather, on May 12. It is not yet known whether Vega company will implement the second stage or not,» Kubatbek Boronov told.
Deputy Akylbek Zhaparov was outraged that the tender was won by a company that indicated a price of 6 million more than its competitors.
Earlier it was reported that test operation of the complexes will begin from January 25, 2019, and by February 10, the project will be launched in an industrial format.
The State Committee of Information Technologies and Communications has signed an agreement with Vega Radio Engineering Corporation for the implementation of the first phase of Safe City project. The company won the tender.
