At least 35,215 citizens of the PRC arrived in Kyrgyzstan in 2018. Press service of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Compared with 2017, the number of Chinese who entered the Kyrgyz Republic decreased by 6,092. Since the beginning of the year, 34,436 citizens of the PRC have left Kyrgyzstan that is 6,254 people less than in 2017.
In 2018, Chinese citizens have obtained 21,017 visas, including 14,492 electronic ones. A temporary residence permit was issued to 11,966 citizens of the People’s Republic of China, which is 6,346 permits less than in 2017.
At least 9,498 citizens of China obtained permits for temporary labor activity.
«From 2010 to 2018, at least 60 citizens of Kyrgyzstan officially married Chinese citizens (received a marriage certificate). Other 268 citizens of the PRC obtained Kyrgyz citizenship, including 171 Kyrgyz, 72 Uigurs, 9 Uzbeks, 6 Chinese, 9 Dungans and 1 Kazakh,» the statement says.
