Crews of Su-25 attack aircraft of Kant airbase deployed in Kyrgyzstan conducted training flights in the mountains. Zvezda TV channel reported with reference to the press service of the Central Military District of Russia.
«Su-25 pilots operated more than 30 flights with elements of complex pilotage for attacking ground targets and avoiding the imaginary enemy’s retaliatory strike,» the Central Military District noted.
Crews used about 30 unguided rockets at the Edelweiss military training area. Flights were carried out at a speed of 700-750 kilometers per hour and at an altitude from 250 to 2,500 meters.
The United Russian Air Base Kant is a part of the Collective Rapid Deployment Force and participates in ensuring the security of the airspace of the CSTO countries. It is armed with Su-25 attack aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters.
