Opening of the Historical Museum is scheduled for January-February 2019. Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Altynai Omurbekova told 24.kg news agency.
According to her, delivery of equipment has been suspended due to initiated criminal case. Opening of the museum should be agreed with law enforcement agencies. «Most likely, the museum will open in early 2019, in January-February. This question is under control,» said Altynai Omurbekova.
She added that not all inventory was delivered. The exposition is fully assembled, it is necessary to connect equipment, electronic turnstiles.
A criminal case was opened on July 13 on the fact of illegal use of budget funds allocated for the reconstruction of the building and the purchase of equipment for the State Historical Museum. The unlawful actions of the officials of the Civil Housing Construction Department and the management of SMU-3 Company led to the illegal use of budget funds totaling 118,215,200 soms.
