Kyrgyzstan develops country's cybersecurity strategy

A draft cybersecurity strategy of Kyrgyzstan for 2019-2023 was presented. The Information Support Department of the Cabinet reported.

The document was created by the State Communications Committee in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Security Council, as well as national and international experts. The Vice Prime Minister Zhenish Razakov noted the particular importance of the strategy’s implementation.

«Our life switches to electronic mode, respectively, there are certain risks, and the issue of cyber security both in our society and in the world is relevant not only for a common citizen, but also for the state as a whole. State and corporate cyber espionage campaigns, as well as covert data collection, carried out with the help of malicious software products, have become large-scale,» said Zhenish Razakov.

It was noted that the main goal of the strategy was to form a national cybersecurity policy to ensure the level of security of citizens, business and the state, allowing them to protect their vital interests in cyberspace and ensure sustainable social and economic development of the country, including digital transformation of the national economy.
