Border guards detain Kyrgyzstanis trying to smuggle fuel and lubricants

Border guards of Chon-Kapka-Avtodorozhniy and Tokmok-Avtodorozhniy checkpoints detained citizens of Kyrgyzstan, illegally trying to transport into the republic a total of 5,100 liters of fuel and lubricants without documents. The State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.

On December 9, a Setra bus arrived at Chaldybar-Avtodorozhniy checkpoint from Kazakhstan, which had an additional tank in the trunk.

«A citizen of Kyrgyzstan tried to illegally import 900 liters of diesel fuel into the republic. The border guards, together with employees of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes, seized illegally imported fuel. Three days before, another Kyrgyzstani was detained with an additional tank in his truck. The border guards found 1,200 liters of fuel and lubricants without documents. Border guard detained a Mercedes Benz minibus at Tokmok-Avtodorozhniy checkpoint, in which a man tried to smuggle 3 tons of gasoline in the cabin and trunk. For an attempt to transport cargo without documents, the violators were detained and handed over to the employees of the financial police together with the cargo,» the Border Service reported.
